CATCH & SEA - NORTH COAST FOOD TOUR

YOU CATCH IT THEY COOK IT

No pressure but we don’t work without breakfast.

And three guesses who caught plenty and who came home empty handed…

The thought of a 4.30am wake up call isn’t for everyone.

To then make your way to the port and board a fishing boat at sunrise is a further tall ask for some. But when it’s a food tour organised by Wendy from Causeway Coast Foodie Tours, you just know it’s going to be something special, even if you do have to catch your own breakfast.

Teas and coffee served, we set out to sea, passing seals along the way.

Competition soon builds between the other guests on board.

The first to land a fish. What’s really out there? I’m confident flipper and Shamu are safe. Pollock and mackerel are in abundance around the coast of Ireland so it was heads down and bets placed amongst friends.

There’s nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition now is there?
